“A Sweet shine Tale” Once, not all that long ago in a nearby land, there were three lovely dresses. Each one was quite beautiful in its own way. The First was a plucky little thing, bright and sunny, ready for spring and tea parties in peach and pink. But she longed for the blue of summery skies that she thought only existed in the heavens above. The Second dress was a sheer delight, like clouds in white and the palest of pinks, tulle and silk, made for processions and joyous egg gathering leaps. But just as the clouds have their bright star, she wished for a dazzling sparkle she thought could only come from the sun. The Third was wonderfully deep in color, velvet and organza, trimmed with sashes and bows. She was perfect for days with family and patent leather shoes, for times when everyone comes together to celebrate wintry holidays and open gifts from the heart. Her velvet was plush, her colors so deep. If only she could make her colors shine from within. Then she knew she would be truly regal. And so each knew they were not quite complete. But never fear, for the Mother, the Grandmother and the Father had all found a magical place called Sweetshine, where each little detail has shine and grace, and can make every dress’s wish come true. Now that First peach spring dress was content, for Mother, who has her way of knowing, brought her aquamarine and Peruvian Opal, and she basked in those sunny skies. And all was well for the cloud-like Second dress too, for Grandma, with much love and understanding knew just the thing that would add sparkle to her skies. Luminous freshwater pearls and diamond-like Crystal Quartz brought her just close enough to the sun. But what of the Third dress of velvet and organza? She did wonder what would become of her, when who should appear but Father in his “Sweetshiny” armour to bestow Rubies and Garnets. And then she knew she had indeed become regal.
